Winter

Its been a white winter my end of the world. The first time in close to fifty years that its been a white winter all across Canada.

The temperature has varied from warm spring-like days that don't feel like winter at all, to 35 celsius below when the hair in your nose freezes every time you breathe in.

I thought I'd share some winter pictures.

Driving the backroads of BC early in the mornings I've seen foggy winter sunrises

And shared the roads with snow covered logging trucks getting ready to haul a load of wood to the mill.

Spent the day in a winter wonderland (this was in France last year)

And frozen my feet off taking pictures of snowflakes when conditions create big fat crystals

The dry cold one weekend created a carpet of inch long ice leaves. Snowshoeing through them sounded like walking on broken glass.

They even covered the bare wild-rose bushes giving them winter foliage.

And finally, spectacular sunsets to end the day.

That's all for now. I hope everyones doing great.
